Teaching
My teaching experience includes:
- Over 17 years of teaching experience on both viola and violin teaching all ages from 3 – 70.
- Guest lecturing at Yale University (whilst a teaching assistant of Music History at the Yale School of Music).
- Presented workshops for primary school children (introducing them to the sound of the orchestra with specific reference to music composed which represents the forces of nature).
- Coaching chamber music and lecturing at the South Carolina Governor's School For the Arts & Humanities, Greenville, South Carolina (lecture: ‘Shostakovich, Francisco Goya and Tom Jones’ “Delilah”’).
I currently have vacancies for private violin and viola instruction for all grades.
Rates: £23 per hour, £12 half-hour
I also teach music theory.
